Prolux Ltd. hereby wishes to inform you of the measures to be taken to maintain and preserve the equipment during downtime.
In cases when equipment is not used for longer periods of time without taking any preservative measures, the rubber seals and gaskets degrade, limestone dries out and other damages occur and may cause technical problems upon resuming operations.
The possible damages that may occur during a long downtime of equipment are listed below along with the recommended preventive measures for optimum preservation of the technical functioning of the equipment.

LAUNDRY WASHING AND/OR DRYING EQUIPMENT:
While the equipment is not being used, rubber seals, gaskets, and elastic joints dry out.
Drive belts are damaged (stretched) from being in one position for a long time;
Hard limestone deposits are formed on the surfaces that come in contact with water, causing flexible and moving parts (valves, pumps, etc.) to become uneven and potentially get mechanically damaged and lose their functionality.
Necessary measures to eliminate shortcomings:
Preservative measures (oiling, descaling, removing dust);
The door of the device must be open so that the device is ventilated and the rubber door seals do not lose their elasticity;
Carry out a full washing cycle no less than 1 (one) time a week.

LAUNDRY IRONING EQUIPMENT:
When ironing rollers are not in use, an uneven load is placed on the drum support bearings, resulting in increased vibration and premature wear and tear of bearings upon resuming operations.
Iron oxide (rust) deposits are formed on the internal surfaces that come in contact with the steam, damaging the sealing elements and contaminating the system upon resuming operations.
Necessary measures to eliminate shortcomings:
To take care of ironing rollers, periodically turn on the device and rotate the cylinder for no less than 5 (five) full rotation circles, and no less than 1 (one) time a week;
Steam irons must be drained of fluids from the water tank, condensate tank and pump. Deposits and limescale must be cleaned from the inner surfaces of the water tank. All excess moisture must be removed from the internal system. The water supply and drainage valves must be closed.

KITCHEN EQUIPMENT:
While the equipment is not being used, rubber seals, gaskets, and elastic joints dry out.
Exceeding the storage period for food products in storage may cause product deterioration, resulting in an unpleasant odor and/or by-products of product decomposition;

Bacteria and mold can form on the door rubbers of ovens, refrigerators, cold tables, freezers and other equipment that comes in contact with food products;
Limestone deposits tend to form on the surfaces that are in contact with water, causing flexible and moving parts (valves, pumps, etc.) to become uneven and potentially get mechanically damaged and lose their functionality.
Necessary measures to eliminate shortcomings:
Preservation measures (oiling, descaling, removing dust);
Refrigerating equipment must be freed from products and the internal surfaces must be cleaned of dirt and disinfected;
Door seals must be cleaned of dirt and disinfected;
The door of the device must be open so that the device is ventilated and the rubber door seals do not lose their elasticity;
To take care of dishwashers, switch on the device periodically, no less than1 (one) time a week, and perform no less than 5 (five) full washing cycles.

EQUIPMENT WITH INTERNAL BATTERY:
Once the maximum capacity of equipment operation data storage is reached, data storage does not take place in the future or historical data is lost;
Once the internal power supply runs out, the set parameters are lost;
Necessary measures to eliminate shortcomings:
Connect the equipment to the power source periodically, not less than 1 (one) time per month, and ensure power availability for no less than 3 (three) hours.

PREVENTION OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED SHORTCOMINGS

In order to be able to continue using the equipment after the period of downtime of the equipment without making additional investments, we recommend performing the above-mentioned preventive measures. These actions can be performed by the user, but if you are ready to entrust the performance of these actions to technical specialists, Prolux Ltd. service engineers will ensure the execution of these works in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Prolux Ltd. is a manufacturer's authorized partner for the supply and provision of services for specialized spare parts.
